Motors

C15 HEPI

C15 HEPI (RLU-5002A/B) Rocket Motor
  • uses non-aluminized HTBP/AP composite propellant (Hazard Class 1.3) to achieve a nominal total impulse of 2185 lbf-sec.
  • nominal action time of 1.72 seconds produces burnout ranges and velocities of approximately 876 m and 1034 m/s respectively when used with 10 lb. class warheads
  • non-aluminized propellant results in reduced smoke and thermal signatures
  • Head End Permanent Igniter (HEPI) system features an integrated RF filter, providing protection against Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance (HERO) and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
  • HEPI igniter is retained inside the rocket motor for duration of motor firing minimizing Foreign Object Damage (FOD)
  • asbestos-free insulation and liner materials used throughout rocket motor
C17

C17 (RLU-5004/B) Rocket Motor
  • uses fast burning non-aluminized HTBP/AP composite propellant (Hazard Class 1.3) to achieve a nominal total impulse of 1905 lbf-sec.
  • nominal action time of 0.96 seconds produces burnout ranges and velocities of approximately 447 m and 944 m/s respectively when used with 10 lb. class warheads
  • non-aluminized propellant results in reduced smoke and thermal signatures
  • Head End Permanent Igniter (HEPI) system features an integrated RF filter, providing protection against Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance (HERO) and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
  • HEPI igniter is retained inside the rocket motor for duration of motor firing minimizing Foreign Object Damage (FOD)
  • asbestos-free insulation and liner materials used throughout rocket motor
  • optimized for helicopter or ground launch with minimal dispersion
  • compatible with all current HYDRA 70 launchers
